This was by far the most enjoyable weekend I’ve had so far this season. It had its ups and downs but overall a huge confidence boost for me to know I have the pace to run upfront.

Having never been at Snett before, I had a bit of learning to do. Friday had 2 x 30 min practice sessions & I got in to it pretty well considering. FP1, I just found my feet with the track and the bike. Had a plan and stuck to it. FP2 I made a couple of changes to the bike & set off but unfortunately my team mate Ryan tucked the front on the out lap & I had no where to go resulting in me going down with him & missing the whole session. But, I want to say thanks to Ryan for checking I was alright & apologising straight away. That is all it takes & we move on.

My brilliant mechanic, Josh, got the bike sorted ready for qualifying on Saturday. I started the session well, pulled into pit lane to go for a clear lap & unfortunately encountered a small issue but we got it sorted & I headed back out. I was just a bit flustered & couldn’t put the lap together so qualified P12.

Race 1, starting the race in P12, I was really frustrated as I knew I had alot more pace than that. I got quite down about it all but thanks to the team & a few words from the people that believe in me, I felt a bit better. Got off to an ok start & started to build. I got stuck behind some of the other riders & unfortunately the gap grew to the front 3. I put my head down & started to get into a good rhythm. I felt great although I made a few mistakes throughout the race, I managed to battle hard & end the race in P4. This was a huge boost for me as it proved what I’ve known all along.

Race 2, I started the race in P12 again due to my Race 1 lap time, feeling pretty nervous as I knew I had a hard race ahead of me. I didn’t get off the line as well as I’d hoped & dropped back to the very back of the grid by turn 2 & struggled to get in to it to start with. I finally found my groove & started to move through the pack. I managed to build my way to P6 but the gap was already made to P5 then again to the top 4 so I settled in and managed the rest of the race.

Overall a good weekend & I want to say a huge thank you to the team & we move on to Brands Hatch for Rd 4.
