Race Report - (Final Round) Scottish Championship & Melville MC Championships

Just a short race report this time.

Saturday

Format was Practice, Qualifying, Race 1, Race 2

Qualifying

Qualified P6 out of 11 (P5 out of 10 in the Junior Twins 300 class) with lap time of 1:10.783

P1 in restricted class.

All races this weekend go from qualifying time (no progressive grids)

Race 1

10 laps

Crossed the line in P4 out of 9 in the Junior Twins (300) class and P1 in restricted class

Best lap time 1:10.409

Race 2

Due to an incident on track in one of the other classes all remaining races were postponed for the day.

Sunday

Format was Practice, Race 1, Race 2

Postponed races from Saturday were cancelled and Race 2 on Sunday was changed to double points.

Race 1

10 laps

Crossed the line in P4 out of 9 in the Junior Twins (300) class and P1 in restricted

Best lap time 1:10.541

Race 2

10 laps

Crossed the line in P4 out of 9 in Junior Twins (300) class and P1 in restricted

Best lap time 1:09.824

A good weekend on the bike complete with me now adding a few more Championships to my record:

• Scottish Junior Twin (300s) Restricted Champion

Sadly, following the incident on Saturday, Dave Suddes succumbed to his injuries later in hospital. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP #122
